So yesterday, I chipped a tooth. An upper front tooth, no less. I don't even have a cool story to go with it. No boxing, no fist fight, no wild animal attack. I didn't even slip and fall. I was just sitting there, something felt strange, and I swiveled the tip of my tongue around and felt the weird divot missing from my smile...
Yeah, that sucked. But chipped tooth or no chipped tooth, now I'm grinning ear-to-ear!
Mark Sullivan, New York Times bestselling author of Rogue (and coauthor with James Patterson of Private Games) recently read Phoenix Island in one sitting and provided an absolute ass-kicker of a blurb:
"Imagine Holes crossed with The Hunger Games crossed with Lord of the Flies and 'The Most Dangerous Game', and you still wouldn’t begin to grasp the power and ingenuity of Phoenix Island. John Dixon has taken all these fantastic themes and made them current, real, and superbly suspenseful, as well as unpredictable, and frightening. Welcome to the next big thing. Phoenix Island will blow you away."
Can't tell you how happy this makes me!
