The INTELLIGENCE Team Is Coming Together!

Updates galore!

First of all, as I mentioned on my Facebook page*, everything's "real" now... I went to B & N this weekend, picked up a copy of Entertainment Weekly, and there it was... an article on upcoming pilots, featuring Intelligence. As a guy who still reads print books and magazines, this was a happy milestone.

Speed-wise, the publishing industry is to the TV industry what a grinding glacier is to an exploding volcano. That's not a complaint -- the two are vastly different, and I'd hate to see books shuttled through so rapidly -- but when you're used to the slow roll of publishing, the tumbling rush of TV is both exciting and disorienting.

Changes from the last couple of days...

Aquila / Wood Casting has joined the team. They're great, the same people who cast Dexter, The Shield, Twilight, Red Dawn (2012), and The Shawshank Redemption.

The pilot shoots next month in Vancouver. We should know by May whether or not CBS will order the show.

Most exciting of all, Michael Rady (Emily Owens MD, The Mentalist, House of Lies) has joined the cast! He'll play a federal investigator named Jameson. I'm obviously psyched but also a little weirded out. Why? A quick search reveals that Mr. Rady was born in Media, PA, the same town where I taught middle school for many years. Strange, right?

Well, strange is the new normal... at least for now. And I'm fine with that.

What's new with you?

*I'm supposed to build "likes" for my FB page. If you would drop by and click the "like" button, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

JOHN: Another milestone! Great news and great glacier/volcano analogy.

I'll link your post to my FB page and see if I can get some "likes" out of my friends.

I don't suppose there's anything else we can do to help CBS come to the right conclusion, is there? Say, maybe make them an offer they can't refuse?

PETE: Thanks, man! I really appreciate your drumming up some "likes". As you might guess, I hate this part of the writing thing... asking people to like me. Awkward, you know? But it's important to the publisher, so it's important to me, and now we've circled back: Thanks!

Thanks for the other idea, too. No need to visit the racetrack yet, though. Ha ha.
