Dixon Smashes 200m Indoor Record!

Okay, it wasn't me -- I only run if chased -- but I'm seriously pumped about my nephew, Jake Dixon, a high school sophomore, who just broke the indoor 200m record with a blazing 23.85. Among the junior indoor runners, he's currently ranked 5th -- and only .02 seconds off 4th. Run faster, Jake! This news story includes a 30-second video of the winning run: http://me.milesplit.com/articles/97945-dixon-breaks-jr-200m-record-scarborough-boys-south-portland-girls-win

Hey proud uncle, that is some blazing speed if I ever saw it. Congrats to the young man.

Blazing, indeed, Pete. Couldn't be prouder -- wait, that's not true -- run faster, Jake, and I'll be even prouder!

Wow, awesome run! Wonder what Jake is gonna do over the next few years. Keep us posted.

Thanks, Joyce! He's wicked fast, and at this rate, he might sprint his way to a full ride at college -- all the cooler for the fact that he's a great student, too. I'd love to get him to come stay with me for a week or two this summer and teach him how to box... see if his hands are as fast as his feet!
